Postural Reset Technique

30 Min - $65 | 60 Min - $120

The Postural Reset Technique was crafted and modified by yours truly. The technique itself is a specialized mixture of modalities such as: Myofascial Release, Myofascial/Nerve Stretching, Deep Tissue, and Trigger Point/Neuromuscular Therapy. The idea behind this work is to look at the body from a postural stand-point so as to identify muscular and/or structural deficiencies and apply the necessary means of bodywork to obtain balance through proper alignment. When the body is properly aligned it can function most efficiently!

This type of bodywork is highly beneficial for anyone experiencing acute and chronic aches/pains, as well as those who prefer a less abrasive method of achieving a relaxed state of being.
*Work is mostly done over clothes (like Thai Massage)*

Many people don't realize that tightness in the front of the body is often the root cause of back, neck, and shoulder pain. Spending extended periods sitting at a desk can cause us to hunch forward and round our shoulders, putting strain on the back muscles. Weak, elongated muscle fibers cause this tightness. A session targeting the pectoral area can help if you suffer from these issues. By opening up the front of the body, it is possible to alleviate pain in the back.

You're not alone if you suffer from tennis elbow but don't play tennis. Numbness in the arm and fingers is a common symptom caused by tightness in the pectoral area under the collarbone and deltoids. This tightness can result from hunching over and rounding our shoulders, which can cause nerve impingement down the arm. A session will focus on the pectoral area and forearm muscles to alleviate tension and numbness.

Sitting for extended periods can affect more than just your shoulders; it can also cause tightness in your hip flexors and everything below them. When we sit, our hip flexors engage and become tight over time without us realizing it. This tightness can lead to problems in our knees, shins, ankles, and feet. To address these issues, a session will focus on all these areas, providing a lot of work to alleviate tightness and discomfort.

Many lower back problems are caused by tightness in the glutes and an anterior tilt in the hips. If you tend to arch your lower back, you may experience pain that radiates from your lower back down to your legs (often mistaken as sciatica). Releasing tension in the glutes and hip rotators can alleviate this pain and open up the lower back for lasting benefits. You can expect treatment in these areas to address these issues during your session.

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage. The idea is to draw old and stagnant blood to the surface of the skin so new blood can flow throughout the body speeding up the recovery process.

Gua sha is a healing technique of traditional East Asian medicine. Sometimes called ‘coining, spooning or scraping’, Gua sha is defined as instrument-assisted unidirectional press-stroking of a lubricated area of the body surface to intentionally create transitory therapeutic petechiae called ‘sha’ representing extravasation of blood in the subcutis.

Gua Sha is also used with medicated oils to help with illnesses such as colds, and flu's.
